In 1986, FAVARH began focusing employment service efforts exclusively on community based businesses, having previously closed its sheltered workshop.  This shift from a Train & Place to a Place & Train philosophy has accelerated learning, invigorated self-confidence, and awakened the community to the potential of our workers with developmental disabilities.  Today, we offer three distinct vocational models that progressively increase choice, responsibility, and independence.
