The Family Respite program is designed to provide parents who have children or adult children living at home with a needed break. Respite can allow parents the chance to get away for the evening, the weekend, or longer and return a bit more refreshed.

For parents who have State funded Waiver services through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), FAVARH is an approved vendor who will provide you with a trained respite companion to meet your specific needs.

For families who will be privately paying for respite services, we are happy to post your specific respite need throughout our many FAVARH locations and often one or more of our many employees will respond directly to the family. In this case, the family hires the companion directly.

There is also the FAVARH Family Respite Fund available for families who need financial assistance to pay for respite care. Individual family grants are made available based on need and availability.
